This is my second attempt at blogging. so i'm not quite the blog virgin, but i was never really great at it before. hopefully this time living in a diff country will motivate me to write more often. today i am in HK without eug for the first time. he's on a plane right now heading to kualampur for training. i start work tomorrow at ogilvy. i'm actually kind of excited. feels dorky writing that, but whatev. it's true. i think the time off from working these past few months has definitely helped prepare me for starting a new job. i finally got bored enough to be excited.
we went to macau yesterday for the day. it was really just to get ourselves out of HK so we can get the whole visa thing cleared. i'm now legal to work in HK. we met up with a friend and some of her friends at the venetian. that place is gigantic. dare i say almost too big. i'd show you pictures but i don't have any. forgot to bring a camera as usual. i need a new one. a super cool, pretty one. that will for sure motivate me to take more pics. i'll fake a pic below with my master photoshop skills.

so, we lost about 100 bucks. eug and i aren't big gamblers. but, i can see myself becoming one. it was fuuuun. i love me the free drinkies. :) ooh and we ate at mortons! mmmmmm...that reallly hit the spot after this past month and a half of rice and noodles. the food here is great, but damn, the steak and fries and tuna tartar and crab cakes and shoot, i'm hungry. needless to say i overate. and drank too much wine. what's new.
now that my translator, eug, has left me for the week, i really should get on that whole learning cantonese thing. it's not completely necessary to get around here, but to order the right food it sometimes is...
