I thought I'd give daily collaging a try. I was a pretty big collager as a wee middleschooler. and i think this may spice up the old blog a bit. plus it would free me from having to try to write clever things. the brain does hurt something good afterwards....(omar is chasing his own tail as i type. didn't realize cats did that - he's so friggin cute, and i think has almost forgiven me for dragging him into his carrier and getting a thermometer stuck up his butt today)...
so today's collage is merely a first stab, hopefully i'll eventually graduate to something that looks a bit more sophisticated and experimental. i think these will be at least somewhat rewarding later laters on when i look back on them and try to decipher each bit of the puzzle...
now i'm off to eat some leftovers...
Finally picked up our new kitty today. He's still feeling out the place but has been really chill - only giving us silent meows. He's a sweetheart. I think the prez will approve of our name for him.

I dun had my very first ever real Mexican standoff (is this racist to say?) with Happy Vally bus #1 today. And goddamnit, i lost!! The first bus very rudely sped off without ever hitting 0 MPH. The second one, in my reality, never showed up. I waited and waited for an eternity, but that bus knew it was dealing with one of the most unpatient little asian girls ever. I wanted to win so bad. But I guess not bad enough...I finally said F it, hopped in a cab and never looked back...for fear of that #1 bus trailing immediately behind.
Anyways, as they say all things happen for a reason! I now know the origins of said Mexican standoff.
I then stopped by a fruit stand to buy some cherries (which i decided almost two years ago would be my new favorite fruit after gorging on them during my week-long quality time with moms before I deserted her for asia. only then did i really realize how meaty they are). I mindlessly accepted $80 HKD for 1lb of cherries to be an alright deal. That's $10 USD. I only had $40 on me so I said give me half a lb. After removing a few cherries to balance it out, the lady handed me a bag with 10 cherries (approximately). That's $5 USD - though I'm sure you got that. They weren't even polished and perfect. There was bruising going on for sure. So after mumbling under my breath a bit, I sheepishly said i didn't want them anymore that they were too expensive. To my surprise the lady took them back! Very unlike HK (good moment there). Though, she did so not without the matching of the mumbling under the breath.
i can't resist posting this photo. i've resigned myself to the trappings of aunt-dom long ago...
so doesn't jordan look like jason scott lee from the jungle book?? told my sis to throw that boy in a pair of red rag undies and a wrap a stuffed toy snake around his neck for halloween. yeah, it's months away but u can never plan ur costume too early! or else you end up putting on all black and going as a lame goth chick.
